Surgical Procedure And Future Treatment Options For Posttraumatic Syringomyelia : A Systematic Review

Objectives
 To find the most effective surgical procedure for posttraumatic syringomyelia (PTS) in last 1 decade. And to look latest therapeutic strategies that have opportunity be developed future.
 Background
 Syringomyelia related trauma is uncommon case compared other etiology such as Chiari Malformation type 1. The management of PTS remain unclear and debatable. aim this study review regarding procedure, outcomes, potential future treatment strategies.
 Methods
 This uses a structured analyses focused on preferred reporting items systematic meta-analyzes (PRISMA). Document selection using keywords “Postraumatic Syringomyelia” AND “Syringomyelia” based publication (10 years). We selected 2020 PRISMA checklist inclusion exclusion criteria. A total 17 studies met eligibility recorded strategies, level syrinx, severity injury, injury symptom duration outcomes. 
 Results
 264 participants with from 15 observational 2 clinical trials were reviewed. 68% treated surgically (n=181). common arachnoid lysis duraplasty (32,5%, n= 59) followed by syrinx shunting (15,4%, n=28) subarachnoid-subarachnoid bypass (11%, n=20). found was successful symptoms improved 82% patients postoperatively. Overall, 60% who underwent surgery (n=110). also deterioration 18% (n=32). Beside strategy we another option use mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) injected into syrinx. 100% success rate (n=7) Conclusion
 Although overall outcomes are still unsatisfactory, seems considered procedure. Other MSCs promising but require further researches larger sample sizes. Keywords : syringomyelia, shunting,
